3 lbs. beef, cut in 1-1/2 inch
1 cup chopped celery
6 carrots, sliced
3/4 cup soft bread crumbs
6 medium onions, sliced
2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 pkg. frozen peas
1 teaspoon pepper
Combine all ingredients, except peas, in large casserole. Bake in slow oven covered, 250 degrees for 5 hours. Stir after 3 hours and add potatoes if desired. Peas can be cooked separately and added just before serving.
